Mission Trips

We are excited to announce the mission trips for Summer 2021 below!  As a general rule, we want students to work through each "tier" before moving on to the next one so that by the time they graduate from high school they have a taste of what missions can look like in each context from their own city to the farthest reaches of the country.

Tier 1 - Going Greenville

July 19-23, 2021

In order to encourage our younger students to become involved in missions locally and in an effort to show them the many mission opportunities around our own city, our 6th and 7th graders go on an "in-town" mission trip, doing various projects around the city of Greenville.  This will be a 5 day, 5 night "trip" where our Jr. High students will come and stay at the Youth Center overnight and be sent out each day to help with different ministries like Miracle Hill, Salvation Army or to do yard work for some of our Senior Saints & widows. We also help lead at MR's VBS program. Our hope and prayer is for God to transform us & those we serve for His Glory!

Tier 2 - SERVING GREENVILLE

JULY 19-24, 2021

Tier 2 of our mission trip structure is a domestic trip for current 8th-12th grade students. This year we will serve with different ministries throughout the city of Greenville, as well as serve alongside our very own missions department at Mitchell Road. Students will return home each night, Monday through Thursday.  We will finish the week by staying overnight in the Youth Building. The goal of this trip is for students to broaden their horizon, to think beyond themselves as servants to others, an ultimately as they are called to be servants of Christ.

TIER 3

No tier 3 trip in 2021

The third tier is a trip for 10th-12th grade students with a cross-cultural emphasis. In the summer of 2019, we had the awesome opportunity to travel to Lummi, WA and partner with MTW as we served for 8 days. We stayed on a Native American reservation and worked with two missionary families that live there. We were blessed by the people of Lummi and it was a privilege to serve them through various service projects and bible clubs.

  • Who? Current 10th-12th grade students who have already participated in a MR mission trip
  • Approximate Trip Cost: TBD, (2019-$1200)
