Jacob joined the youth staff in September 2020 after graduating with his Masters in Divinity from Covenant Seminary. He is a St. Louis native, where he and his wife Kaitlyn married. Kaitlyn and Jacob have a precious daughter, Flora who was born in the spring of 2023. Whether it is playing soccer or foosball, connecting over a good book, or having a lively discussion on theology, Jacob loves helping people see the love of Christ more fully in their lives. He is pumped to build relationships with the students and families at Mitchell Road and be a part of Christ's work in his church.

Andrew joined the youth staff in May 2017 as a 2 year intern upon graduating from Clemson University and in December 2022 moved into the role of Jr. High Director. Andrew enjoys working with and teaching 5th - 8th grade students more about Jesus! He and his beautiful wife Elleson have been married 5 years and have 2 sons, Wyatt and Wells.

  • CHRISSY Chandler - Sr. High assistant Director
    CHAGER@MITCHELLROAD.ORG

Chrissy graduated from Clemson University in 2020 and first served the youth ministry as a summer intern in 2019 and 2020. She returned to MR in 2021 as a 2-Year Intern and in September 2022, Chrissy became our SH Assistant Director. While at Clemson, Chrissy met her husband Will-- and the couple recently married in March 2024! Chrissy enjoys building relationships with students and their families. In her free time, Chrissy enjoys staying active outdoors, spending time with friends, and honing her skills like crocheting and baking!

  • Maggie mcatee - JH. High Assistant Director

Maggie was born and raised in Memphis, TN before she headed to Auburn University for nursing school. During 2017, she was a Summer Intern at Mitchell Road and quickly fell in love with Greenville. After graduation, Maggie moved to Birmingham, AL to start her career as a NICU nurse. Even though she loved working with babies, Maggie missed her days in youth ministry. She started volunteering at her church and eventually joined the staff to help build a youth ministry. The Lord provided a way for Maggie to do both of these callings until He made it clear what was next in His plan. Maggie is excited to be in Greenville and back at Mitchell Road. In her free time, you’ll most likely find Maggie reading a book, visiting a coffee shop, or taking a long walk. She can’t wait to meet more families at MR and be part of this amazing Youth Staff!

  • MATT Brown - 2 YEAR YOUTH INTERN
    MBROWN@Mitchellroad.org

Matt joined the youth staff as a two-year intern in December 2022. A born and raised northerner, he attended Messiah University in Pennsylvania before becoming a Greenville Fellow in 2018. Beginning with his days as a fellow, Matt has consistently been involved in the youth ministry program-- both as a summer intern in '19 and '21 and as a volunteer leader for four years. He is enjoys the opportunity of working in an environment that has been a significant part of his life-- and grateful to be doing it alongside people that he loves. Although you may know Matt Brown for his love of ultimate frisbee, football, gaming, and not wearing shoes; you may not be aware that he also enjoys writing poems, going on long walks, and solving puzzles. Matt enjoys being part of the Mitchell Road youth staff and to play a role in what the Lord is doing here in Greenville. Most recent life update: Matt recently married Lauren McKay in December of 2023! Congrats Matt & Lauren!

  • Debbie Billings - Youth Ministry Admin Assistant
    DBILLINGS@MITCHELLROAD.ORG

Debbie joined the youth staff in July 2013 after serving in a similar role in a local church for 13 years. She loves spending time with her family-- especially with her grandson, Evan.  Debbie loves the beach, traveling when the opportunity arises and watching college football on Saturday afternoons!

Debbie is thankful for her support role on the youth staff and the behind the scenes view of what happens within the ministry. She considers it a gift to get to know the families of Mitchell Road and is most encouraged to see students learn and grow in their faith and walk with the Lord.
